Undercover operatives do save lives, including by averting terrorist attacks - and most people understand that.

But the risk that they will go much further than they should, or act for much less reason than they claim, is not purely hypothetical.

This is why the UK Government’s Covert Human Intelligence Sources (Spy Cops) Bill is of such concern

In light of this, our latest event takes a look back at past tales of corruption, injustice and media complicity - from the key figures who took action against this.

And serves as a warning, from the last half century, about the dangers of allowing increased state powers, without appropriate scrutiny.

This event is a collaboration between CPBF(MediaNorth) and The Working Group and is hosted by Momentum Volunteers.
